About Pitt EM and Pittsburgh
What do you like best about living in Pittsburgh/Western PA?
I love all 4 seasons! I also love the sports culture here (I may be biased, GO STEELERS). It has all the perks and activities of living in a city, without being too big or crowded.
Where did you choose to live, and why?
Verona. My partner and my families both live in Pittsburgh on the east side. We wanted to buy a house and the eastern suburbs were more affordable than buying a house in the city. The drive into the city is about 25 minutes and Oakmont (a fun bar/restaurant scene) is only 5 minutes away.
What advice would you give to incoming residents about moving to the 'Burgh?
If you're looking for kind, midwest culture without being too far from the east coast, this is the perfect place. The cost of living is great, traffic is reasonable, and the city has all the activities/bars/restaurants you could want.
