Our Services
Center for Cardiac Arrest Survival
The University of Pittsburgh Center for Cardiac Arrest Survival (CCAS) addresses the need for a comprehensive, research-driven approach to reducing mortality from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
The Medical Toxicology Outpatient Clinic provides evaluation and treatment for persons exposed to chemicals and solvents at work or home. We also provide an inpatient and consultation service that can deal with the most difficult and life-threatening poisonings or envenomations.
The University of Pittsburgh Post-Cardiac Arrest Service (PCAS) is a multidisciplinary group of clinicians and researchers who provide initial resuscitation, in-hospital care, and long-term follow up to over 400 patients each year.
We engage in a variety of online and off-line EMS medical direction, airline and traveler medical consultation, EMS research and education, tactical medicine, emergency preparedness, and disaster response.
